The City of Hutchinson Down Payment Assistance Program provides eligible first-time homebuyers with
$2,000 toward closing cost and down payment
when purchasing a home.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for assistance, applicants must:
- Not currently own a home.
- Purchase a home located within the City of Hutchinson limits and the 67501 ZIP code.
- Complete a Homebuyer Education Course through Interfaith Housing & Community Services.
Homebuyer Education
The Homebuyer Education Course is completed online at your convenience and includes a follow-up counseling appointment by phone with a certified housing counselor from Interfaith Housing & Community Services.
Application Process
Interfaith Housing & Community Services will guide you through the Homebuyer Education process and assist with completing the application.
Once all education requirements and application materials have been completed and approved, the $2,000 assistance payment will be sent directly to the closing agent and applied at closing.
